You know the classic quote, "The only thing that will be left after a nuclear holocaust is Cher and cockroaches." Well, I believe that memes also deserve a spot on that list. As things in the world ebb and flow constantly, memes have stuck around through it all. If you asked me in 2011 if I'd still be looking at memes every single day when I was in my mid-twenties, I probably wouldn't have thought so. I assumed I would be looking at very compelling spreadsheets, but being on the meme grind is something beyond my wildest dreams. If you ask me today if I'll still be looking at, saving, and sending memes to my friends in my 70s, I'd actually say yes. This art form is not going anywhere anytime soon, and I'm grateful for their persistence, especially during difficult times in history. If you want memes that last, this list might just suffice.
